A CHANGE in the line-up of Scotland’s youngest radio station has been announced, just 24 hours ahead of it receiving its first official listener ratings.
The all-speech radio station, talk107, which serves Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife, has installed its late night host, Micky Gavin, into the early afternoon berth, currently occupied by Graham Stewart.
The station, which is the first all-speech radio station outside of London and which was launched in February, yesterday also said it had lined up comedians, such as Mike McShane, to join Gavin during his festival coverage beginning next week.
Gavin is swapping the 10pm-to-2am slot for the 1pm-to-4pm one. And with the festival getting into full swing, he is being assisted during his first week, starting Monday, not just by McShane but Irish comedian, Jason Byrne, and, ‘Jerry Springer – the Opera’ writer, Stewart Lee.
Prior to joining talk107, Fife-born Gavin has been presenting in radio for over ten years.
