BBC Scotland has confirmed that construction of its new HQ, at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, has been completed and is now ready for the technical fit-out – on schedule and on budget.
Said Ken MacQuarrie, BBC Scotland Controller: “Our vision for a world-class headquarters connecting all of our BBC centres across Scotland and enhancing our visibility to our audiences is nearing reality.
“This magnificent building offers us a unique opportunity to create a working environment which will shape the future of broadcasting, inspire our staff and welcome our audiences to come in and see their BBC.”
Yesterday, Spike reported a July 17 deadline for the technical fit-out being overseen by John Maxwell Hobbs, BBC Scotland’s new head of technology.
