AN appeal has gone out for journalists who might wish to take part in a debate on how blogging is changing the way people get their news.
It comes from the English-Speaking Union Scotland, who are currently deciding what the motion for debate will be: for instance, ‘This house believes that the mainstream media is dead wood’, or, ‘This House doesn’t believe the hype about the bloggers’.
The event, which is to be held in Edinburgh (date tbc) has already attracted five bloggers, billed as “amongst the most read”, including political commentator, Iain Dale, of Iain Dale’s Diary.
When it comes off, the event is likely to be the first of its type to have been hosted in the UK.
