RADIO Clyde has appointed a new programme director, to succeed Ross Macfadyen, who left by “mutual consent” at the end of last year.
Gordon Davidson takes up the post next month, having most recently worked as group programme director at the Local Radio Company, which is behind stations such as Central FM, based in Falkirk.
His CV also includes stints at Virgin Radio, BRMB, Kerrang!, Century and BBC local radio.
Gordon says Radio Clyde inspired him to pursue a career in radio. Though brought up in Lincoln, his father is from Rutherglen, near Glasgow. So, family trips to Scotland had him listening to Radio Clyde, in particular legendary DJ, Tiger Tim.
