AN Edinburgh-based advertising firm has increased its efforts to expand into the digital market by appointing a new member of staff responsible for digital media campaigns and clients.
David Westwood will join Family as their new digital account director and attempt not only to attract new digital customers, but also to give existing clients the opportunity to expand their advertising into this new medium, which can include marketing campaigns via email or on mobile phones.
Having left Canada to take up the position in Scotland, Westwood brings a wealth of experience in the digital advertising field with him, including a gold award from the London International Advertising Awards.
Speaking about his new job, David said: “I am of the belief that big ideas come first and mediums fall out of that big idea. Digital doesn’t make sense on every campaign; however there is an opportunity to do more work for clients in the digital arena.
“I love Family’s commitment to fostering their creative excellence through expanding existing award winning creative into digital mediums. I plan to make that digital expansion a reality for Family and help deliver great creative and results for our clients.”
