CHANNEL 4’s Big Brother is said to have been beaten by Tommy Sheridan MSP, in terms of TV viewing figures.
Spike understands that while the Channel 4 programme peaked at 220,000 viewers in Scotland, a documentary about the former Scottish Socialist Party leader’s successful defamation claim against the Scottish News of the World – broadcast by BBC Scotland on Monday evening – raked in an average 375,000.
Or, to put it another way, some 26 per cent of all Scottish households that had the telly on at the time.
And, by a margin of at least two-to-one, Sheridan also beat both the ITV news and Scotsport SPL.
