BELATED congratulations to the Scottish Daily Mirror which published a white box rather than a photograph of singer, Robbie Williams, in protest at his requiring snappers to sign over their rights to him.
Tuesday’s 3am showbiz column received praise from the freelance organiser at the National Union of Journalists, Scot, John Toner, who said: “In the dark night of the soul it is always three o’clock in the morning, so it is fitting that the 3am girls [Eva Simpson and Caroline Hedley] have exposed this despicable contract.
“We congratulate the Mirror for exposing this contract and for having the courage to leave a blank space.
“From now on, whenever I hear ‘Angels’ I will think of Eva and Caroline.”
