A STORY about one of the Royal family being asked for ID by door staff at a Scottish nightclub has earned a Scottish press agency with a third place at an awards ceremony celebrating the best of UK press agencies.
At the National Association of Press Agencies Awards, Deadline Press and Picture Agency took third place in the ‘Spec news/sport story of the year’ category.
They were the only Scottish winners at the event, held on Friday evening, in London.
The reporter was Douglas Walker, now a reporter at The Scottish Sun.
At last year’s NAPA finals, he and fellow Deadline journalist, Brian Lewis, took second prize.
