THE publisher of The Scotsman newspaper has appointed a new board member.
Mark Pain will be a non-executive director at Johnston Press and also chair of its ‘audit committee’.
The 47 year-old joins from pubs group, Punch Taverns plc, where, for the last two years, he was also a non-executive director and this time a member of its audit committee.
From 2006, he has been group finance director of housebuilder, Barratt Developments, and was formerly group finance director of Abbey National Group between 1998 and 2001.
