THE former deputy news editor at now defunct all-speech radio station, talk107, starts today as news editor at Northsound radio in Aberdeen.
Joe Odber succeeds Sarah Campbell, who has joined BAA Aberdeen.
Edinburgh-based talk107 was shut just before Christmas, after less than in three years in operation.
Odber, who studied at Bell College, Hamilton, and has a post-graduate Diploma in Radio Journalism, worked for Dundee-based Wave 102 between 2001 and 2002 and then at Real Radio between 2002 and 2006, at which point he joined talk
Says Chris Thomson, Northsound’s programme director: “We’re delighted to have secured someone of the calibre of Joe and I’m sure he’ll be a tremendous addition to what is a fantastic news team here at Northsound.”
