A JOURNALIST at the Edinburgh Evening News has secured top marks in exams for recent students of journalism.
Laura Cummings has won the T S Murray award for the best performance by a reporter working for a Scottish newspaper in the National Certificate Exam (NCE) run by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ).
The exam can only be taken after at least 18 months’ work and includes having to keep a logbook of work undertaken in a job.
