THE future for television broadcasters, stv, is to be the subject of a lecture from one of its senior managers.
Bobby Hain, director of broadcast services and regulatory affairs at stv group plc, is speaking in Edinburgh a week tomorrow, on the topic: ‘stv: past, present and future public service broadcaster?’.
The event is organized by RSA Fellows’ Media and Creative Industries Special Interest Group and will be held at Anderson Strathern LLP, 1 Rutland Court. It starts at 6pm.
Only last week, broadcasting regulators, Ofcom, resisted the temptation to recommend that stv be subsumed into an UK-wide channel three licence, run by ITV plc, which stv is not currently a part.
