Strong Scots showing in Celtic Media Festival shortlist

THERE is a strong Scottish presence in all but three categories in the awards shortlist for this year’s celebration of film, television and radio from the Celtic ‘nations and regions’ that is the Celtic Media Festival.

Only in the sport, drama series and education categories is there no Scottish entry.

The festival – which is this year celebrating its 30th birthday and comprising 17 award categories – involves work from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Brittany and Cornwall.

This year’s festival is taking place in Caernarfon, Wales, between March 25 and 27. The Scottish entries are dominated by BBC Scotland, in one guise or another.
