GLASGOW-based 3×1 PR and tourism agency, VisitScotland, were among the pick of the winners last night at an awards ceremony celebrating the best of Scottish public relations.
At the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (Scotland) PRide Awards in Edinburgh, 3×1 PR picked up the top award for ‘Outstanding public relations consultancy’, while VisitScotland retained its title from last year as the ‘Scottish public sector team of the year’.
Meanwhile, the National Library of Scotland took the ‘In-house team’ award, while Glasgow-based Wave PR was named ‘Outstanding small consultancy’.
In addition to the ‘Outstanding public relations consultancy’ award, 3×1 PR was also a gold winner in the ‘Corporate communications’ category and was shortlisted in the ‘Corporate responsibility’ category, while VisitScotland scooped an extra three top awards in the’ Internal communications’, ‘Consumer relations’ and ‘Best magazine or newspaper’ categories.
Scotland’s local authorities were well represented on the night with Falkirk Council taking home a gold for the ‘Best website’ and being shortlisted in another four awards, while West Lothian Council was a finalist in the ‘Community relations’ category and East Renfrewshire was shortlisted for the ‘Scottish public sector team of the year’, alongside Falkirk Council.
