THE Edinburgh-based all-speech radio station, talk107, has been put up for sale.
Owners, UTV, made the announcement yesterday, some two-and-half years after the station’s launch, during which time it switched style from ‘confrontational to more considered’.
Hopes are said to be high, among station staff, that a new owner will be found, given there were 15 applicants for the broadcasting licence when it became available four years ago.
Today’s presenter roster bears no resemblance to the original one, which began with the likes of Alex Bell, Mike Graham and Simon Pia at the helm.
