ONE of the best-known independent producers in Scotland is to hook up with his former boss, now at stv.
Paul Murray, who until last year was director of Endemol Scotland, is joining Alan Clements’ content team at stv, where he will be head of entertainment and factual programming.
Between 2000 and 2004, Glasgow-based Murray had been head of Development at Clements’ Wark Clements independent television production company.
The Scot’s recent credits include You Can’t Fire Me I’m Famous, for BBC1, the BAFTA Scotland award-winning My Childhood, for BBC 3; and Restoration Village, for BBC2.
Most recently, he was a series editor with Scotland-based Crackit Productions, working on Piers Morgan’s series for BBC 1, The Dark Side of Fame.
Murray is Clements’ first major appointment since starting his role as director of content early last month.
