SPIKED liked the apology that appeared in yesterday’s Herald newspaper. Though it suspects Lady Cosgrove was slightly less pleased by the article that prompted it:
“In The Herald article, Sometimes it’s Hard to be a Woman (page 13), yesterday, it was wrongly stated that Lady Cosgrove, Scotland’s first female judge, had died.
“She is, in fact, chairing the public inquiry into why patients were infected with HIV and Hepatitis C contaminated blood. We apologise for this error.
“In addition, there are four women judges in Scotland, not three as stated in the article.”
