GLASGOW City Council has become the latest organisation to adopt an automated system of logging calls from journalists, including details of their questions and the responses they have received.
The Spotlight system – from Solcara – allows a busy press office keep track of what questions are being asked by the media, and by whom exactly, and what answers have been given.
Among its many benefits, it allows for consistency of response, plus build any themes a journalist might be pursuing.
Says Chris Starrs, PR manager for Glasgow City Council: “Glasgow City Council’s public relations department is one of the busiest press offices in Scotland and rarely a day goes by that we are not in the national media.”
