NOT for the first time in its brief history, arguably the UK’s most prestigious photographic awards, has had to be put on hold because of financial difficulties.
The Picture Editors’ Awards have, for the past 15 years, recognised excellence in photographic journalism.
But, say the organisers: “Unfortunately, it has not been possible this year to assemble the necessary financial and organisational support for the awards to continue, and consequently no competition will be held in 2008.”
