A SCOTTISH investigative reporter has been recognised at an US journalism awards, for work published in The Herald, Scotsman and Guardian newspapers, plus Esquire (UK) magazine.
Eamonn O’Neill has taken the runners-up prize in the Tom Renner Award for ‘Best investigative reporting’, at the Investigative Reporters and Editors Annual Awards.
O’Neill – who is deputy director of under-graduate journalism at Strathclyde University and programme director of the university’s MSc in Investigative Journalism – specialises in alleged miscarriage of justice cases.
