THE Sunday Herald’s London staffer, Torcuil Crichton, is understood to be switching to The Herald, as it UK political correspondent.
Crichton will fill the role left vacant after Michael Settle was promoted to UK political editor following the recent departure of Catherine MacLeod to become a special adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Alistair Darling.
Crichton, who has had a roving role for the Sunday Herald from his London base, could not be contacted for comment last night as he is believed to be on holiday in Spain.
