THE owner of the XFM Scotland radio station has signalled its intention to sell it, along with its XFM operations in Manchester and South Wales.
GCap Media yesterday also announced that its digital stations, theJazz and Planet Rock, were being closed immediately.
But for XFM Scotland, if a buyer is not found by the end of next month, the expectation is that its licence will be returned to broadcasting regulators, Ofcom.
XFM Scotland was created following the purchase and re-branding of Beat 106 two years ago and this latest move is to allow GCap to concentrate on building its XFM brand in London.
