AN insight into the art of short filmmaking has been announced as part of the Glasgow Film Festival, which is taking place this month.
Over the weekend of Friday 15th – Sunday 17th, there will be two round-table discussions covering the basics of short filmmaking (Why Make a Short? and How to Make a Short), plus a question-and-answer session with local filmmaker, Zam Salim.
The weekend will also include a retrospective of rarely-seen early shorts by now esteemed filmmakers such Wim Wenders, Chantal Akerman and Margaret Tait.
The event is being hosted by local, short film showcasers, Magic Lantern.
