ONE of Scotland’s most experienced television newsmen is leaving stv after negotiating a voluntary redundancy deal.
Graeme Scott, 53, who is newsgathering editor of stv North (formerly Grampian TV), leaves at the end of next month, after 19 years at the station.
Before joining Grampian, Graeme, who cut his teeth as a cub reporter on the Elgin-based Northern Scot weekly newspaper, spent 15 years on the reporting staff of the Evening Express, Aberdeen.
He said this morning that he has “no hard or fast plans” for the future but will be looking at media opportunities in north-east Scotland.
