THE re-design and subsequent re-launch of a magazine website has resulted in a five-fold increase in its monthly visitor numbers, according to its publishers.
In July, the List arts and entertainment magazine boasted some 50,000 unique visitors to its website, www.list.co.uk. Now, that figure is up to a quarter of a million.
Says the List: “A key ambition of the site relaunch – by the team behind the successful scotsman.com network of sites – was to integrate editorial content from the fortnightly magazine with The List’s unique listings of What’s On across all of Scotland.
“The site provides daily recommended events, and users can search from various angles, including by genre, by time-span, what’s on near them, and what’s related to something they enjoy.”
The magazine promises the next phase of development will include more user-generated content, such as reader reviews, and other personalised services, such as additional newsletters.
Says Alistair Brown, general manager of List Digital: “We expect the growth of our audience to continue as the site continues to evolve and improve and as we launch new products and services. We also expect to attract new and repeat advertising and sponsorship business as we are establishing a solid track record of delivering measurable value.”
