A HANDFUL of Scots have been elected on to the council of the trade body that represents the commercial interests of independent TV and film production companies.
Among those chosen to sit on the PACT council is the chief executive of Scottish Screen, Ken Hay, plus David Strachan, of Tern Television, and Karen Smyth, of La Belle Allee Productions.
Rebecca O’Brien, of Sixteen Films, also makes it to the council, which will be chaired this year by Charles Wace, chief executive of Twofour, one of the fastest-growing independents in the UK.
Vice-chair (television) is to be Debbie Manners, group commercial director of RDF Media Group, while vice-chair (feature film) is to be Andrea Calderwood, of Slate Films.
