NUJ members at the Ayrshire newspaper titles of the Clyde & Forth group have voted to accept a new pay and conditions structure.
It follows a work to rule over staffing levels and responsibilities – with some staff being asked to perform editorial duties beyond their official titles.
Following negotiations between the union and management, each title will have its own news editor, than having to rely on cover from other offices.
Says the NUJ’s Scottish Organiser, Paul Holleran: “The agreement means welcome stability and each title being able to stand on its own two feet.”
