THE media correspondent on the Sunday Herald has been appointed deputy business editor at the paper – as part of a number of staff changes announced yesterday.
Steven Vass will be deputy to Colin Donald who – as allmediascotland reported earlier this week – is to be the new business editor, following the departure of Ken Symon for PR and public affairs outfit, McGarvie Morrison Media.
Donald is business correspondent for The Scotsman and, before that, was Tokyo correspondent for Business AM.
Vass has been media corr. for the last three years and the post of business writer/media writer is being advertised.
Meanwhile, Iain S. Bruce has been made multi-media editor.
Says Sunday Herald editor, Richard Walker: “Iain has, of course, been the Sunday Herald’s online editor since time began.
“His new role will herald a greater integration between the Sunday Herald in print and online.
“His duties include attending all newspaper conferences to drive extra content into the Sunday Herald website, to promote the Sunday Herald brand in the online environment and to contribute articles on technological innovations to the business and news sections.”
And Paul Delgarno has been appointed as full-time writer with the Sunday Herald magazine, which recently advertised for a deputy editor.
