A BBC Scotland reporter based in Tayside has been recruited as one of three presenters of a new, Scottish news service for the breakfast TV programme, GMTV.
Already providing Northern Ireland news for GMTV, Macmillan Media has won the contract for Scottish news, with a launch date of December 3. In the throes of building a studio in Glasgow, it has appointed Catherine Brown from BBC Scotland.
Macmillan’s Northern Ireland service has been operating for three years and, from there, Kirsteen O’Sullivan moves to lead the Scotland team.
The identity of the third presenter, plus four video journalists, is yet to be known.
