FROM 180 entries, half have made it to the shortlist in this year’s Scottish Magazine Awards, which are being expanded to include two new categories.
The ceremony – run by the Periodical Publishers Association on the 29th of next month – will see new categories, Best Magazine Design and Best Magazine Redesign, join regulars such as Columnist of the Year and Consumer Magazine of the Year.
This year’s judging panel is being chaired by Terry Mansfield.
It includes design consultant, Matthew Ball; Pat Roberts, former editor-in-chief of Good Housekeeping magazine and Trevor Royle, associate editor, of the Sunday Herald.
