COMPUTER software giants, Microsoft, is to woo Scotland’s digital community, by sending four members of staff to present a new piece of design kit, called Silverlight.
They are speaking in Edinburgh, this evening. The event is sold-out.
Silverlight is about a new, digital design language called Rich Internet Applications.
Silverlight allows designers to incorporate video, animation, games and other user-involving features easily into their web designs, so it becomes easier for designers to be more ambitious about what their web designs can do.
Says Christine Gupta of the event’s organisers: “Silverlight allows designers to escape from the frustrating HTML world of waiting for pages to load into the new world of instant website gratification, where you no longer have to wait and you can have everything active on your screen at once in real time.”
