The Sun is the destination for deputy chief sub-editor, John Rathbone, while subbing and page planning is the expected role on the Inverness Courier for internet and news sub-editor, John Davidson.
And, most exotic of the three moves, is that of deputy production editor, Hugh McDiarmid, who is taking up a sub-editing job at the English-language newspaper, the Shanghai Daily.
It is believed that none applied for voluntary redundancy during the latest, recent invitation, from management, for applicants.
