JOURNALISTS wishing to cover the BBC’s Proms in the Park event in Glasgow on Saturday are being asked to apply for accreditation now.
Media passes for the event – which is taking place on Glasgow Green and will be featuring, among others, acclaimed cellist, Julian Lloyd Webber – became available yesterday.
Gates open at 6.30pm and the entertainment on stage begins from 7.45pm. BBC Scotland says that, in particular, photographers will be granted access to the ‘pit area’ in front of the stage.
The event is being hosted by broadcaster, Sally Magnusson, and singer, Jamie MacDougall.
Proms in the Park is part of the Last Night of the Proms celebrations, taking place at the Albert Hall, in London. Glasgow is one of five such park events, the others being in Carrickfergus, Tees Valley, Swansea and London.
