THE marketing of one of Scotland’s best-known brand names is to be conducted by a London-based communications agency, who emerged victorious ahead of three other shortlisted candidates.
Woo Communications have won the contract to provide ‘below-the-line activity’ for The Famous Grouse, in both the UK and overseas markets. While that precludes media handling, it includes the likes of organising sampling events.
Says Gerry O’Donnell, director of The Famous Grouse: “We were looking for a dynamic agency that really understands the ethos of the brand. Woo’s team clearly demonstrated expertise in handling major leading brands at home and abroad and were very forward thinking in their ideas to help us maintain The Famous Grouse’s global position as Scotland’s favourite whisky.”
The identity of the three other shortlisted candidates has not been revealed.
Woo includes Inbev, GlaxoSmithKline, Abbey, Nectar and Teleflorist among its clients.
