THE journalists at The Big Issue in Scotland magazine don’t know whether to laugh or cry: if only there was an established practice of giving credit where it’s due, when one media outlet reports a story that has already appeared somewhere else.
There’s been growing sense of deja-vu as not one, but two, stories have appeared in the Scots media, with a familiar ring to them.
The next issue of the magazine is out on Thursday. Set your diaries. Says one of the reporters: “This week, we’ve got a great tale about the future of Dungavel Detention Centre. I expect that one will pop up somewhere else soon too.”
