SATURDAY sees a Scottish short film appear at two different film festivals at almost the same time.
The Way We Played, produced by Edinburgh-based Brazen Hussies, tells the story of two young boys on the eve of war in Bosnia who go looking for treasure in an abandoned hillfort oblivious to the encroaching danger.
And in a remarkable coincidence, it screens at 4pm at the Winnipeg International Film Festival, in Canada, and then half an hour later at the Brooklyn International Film Festival in New York, USA.
The screenings will bring the total number of film festivals The Way We Played has appeared at to 35.
And it will be No.36 come a week on Sunday, when it screens at the Leith Short Film Festival in Edinburgh – at 10.30pm, at the Granary by the Shore.
