ONE of the UK’s best-known media pundits has rounded on the owners of the Herald group of newspapers, as it seeks to make a budget cut of between two and three million pounds.
In his blog for MediaGuardian (see here), Roy Greenslade applauds the 1,000-plus signatories on an ePetition against the job losses, taking place as a result of the budget cut, set up by the National Union of Journalists.
Already, a number of staff at The Herald, Sunday Herald and Evening Times have been told their applications for voluntary redundancy have been accepted.
