A PERCEIVED lack of PR activity coming out of Dundee has led to a former Herald journalist setting up a communications consultancy in the city.
And Lorraine Wilson ought to know Dundee, having started her career with the city’s publishing giants, DC Thomson – including on teenage magazine, Jackie.
Says Lorraine – who has been a freelance writer and broadcaster since leaving The Herald six years ago: “There are some good vibes around Dundee at the moment. But the city has been something of a black hole when it comes to PR; hopefully, no longer.”
A launch party for Lorraine’s company, Karma, is taking place tomorrow. Services include PR and media relations, feature writing, copywriting, website maintenance, and event management.
She has also worked in London at Express Newspapers and IPC.
Clients already signed up include a local record label, plus a London multimedia company and an Australian outback adventure tours business.
