IT will have been a tough battle, but the agency responsible for buying media space – for instance, on TV and newspapers – for one of Scotland’s biggest shopping malls has managed to hold on to the contract.
Glasgow-based Media Shop’s media buying responsibilities on behalf of Braehead shopping centre, to the west of the city, also includes negotiating prices.
To retain the contract, they had to ‘pitch’ against two other hopefuls. It means a further three years working with Braehead, who have used Media Shop since 1999.
The contract extension follows recent in contract retentions with the National Museums Scotland and the Falkirk Wheel accounts, following competitive pitches earlier this year. In addition, they recently added the Camping and Caravan Show media account.
