THAT stalwart gardening programme on BBC Scotland, The Beechgrove Garden, kicks off a new season this evening.
But it’s unlikely to be just the flowers that’ll be in full bloom; it’s main presenter can expected to be on something of a high also, after winning one of the biggest awards in television.
So, congratulations – a little belatedly, it’s true – to Jim McColl, who was recently named winner of the ‘Best Nation and Region Presenter’ title at the Royal Television Society Awards.
Jim has hosted The Beechgrove Garden since 1978. The programme is produced by independent TV production company, Tern Television.
