IF you catch a TV advert this evening for Yellow Pages, you can impress your friends by revealing that the star is an Edinburgh plasterer – who is a real-life advertiser with the directory.
Says advance publicity, Denis Maloney was chosen from hundreds of UK business owners as, “a genuine representation of those in the plastering trade”.
The publicity continues: “As a one man band, he has skimmed some of Edinburgh’s most prominent buildings and grouted for the great and the good in his 35 years in the industry.”
Joining Denis in the Yellow Pages adverts are eleven other business owners from across the UK, who have all been filmed and photographed going about their everyday business. They include a vet from Surrey, a cake maker from London and a roofer from Newcastle.
The ‘people behind the numbers’ campaign starts on TV and radio at 9pm.
