A COMPLAINT made by parents of a child who they claim was quoted in the Sunday Mail newspaper without their consent has been resolved.
According to the Press Complaints Commission, a complaint had been received from a couple from Kilmarnock, who had made their complaint under Clause six of the PCC’s code of conduct. It says that young people should be free to complete their time at school without unnecessary intrusion.
But the complaint was resolved after the paper apologised to the complainants, with the assurance that its internal records have been tagged to ensure the mistake will not be repeated in the future.
