AN industrial tribunal involving an award-winning former head of features and entertainment at stv is expected to finish today.
Agnes Wilkie is taking stv to industrial tribunal after she was suspended and then sacked following the discovery of private emails alleged to be derogatory about her boss, Bobby Hain.
Cross-examination of Wilkie by stv’s lawyers began yesterday and will continue today.
Should Wilkie win, she is planning to launch a civil action against stv, for damages. She is currently working part-time for Glasgow-based TRC, formerly known as The Research Centre, which is involved in broadcasting training and research.
The tribunal – where Wilkie is being represented by the National Union of Journalists – began on Monday.
She was suspended in November the year before last and then sacked two months later.
