AS you may have read on Friday, ITV has commissioned new episodes of cop dramas, Taggart and Rebus, from Glasgow-based production company, SMG Productions.
Filming begins later this month, new 90-minute programmes of Rebus, which attracted audiences of up to 8.4 million, when it was last screened. The four books by Ian Rankin being adapted are Resurrection Man, The Naming of the Dead, Knots and Crosses and another – to be confirmed shortly.
Screening will take place later this year.
Also being commissioned are four, 90-minute episodes of Taggart, starring Alex Norton and Blythe Duff.
