OF all the media gathered at the Hearts FC training centre on Friday, there was one conspicuous by its absence.
But the banning of Sky TV was only for the one day, after it door-stepped a couple of players earlier in the week, without the club’s permission.
Ahead of Paul Hartley’s departure for Celtic and Craig Gordon’s possible move – which didn’t, in the end, materialise – Sky’s David Tanner pitched up to the club’s Riccarton training base, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, on Tuesday.
Of the two players, Gordon said most to Tanner, but neither said much.
Tanner’s ‘crime;, however, was not first asking the club if it was okay to conduct the interviews.
The result? The media equivalent of an one-game ban.
