SPIKE would like to wish a reporter at The Scotsman good luck in the first round today of the Scottish Indoor Tennis Championships.
With Scottish tennis on a high – following the exploits of Andy Murray, Alan Mackin, et al – it’s probably an impressive feat to be playing in the championships at all.
But Eben Harrell is. He’s up against a Fraser Stirling.
Tournament favourite is Colin Fleming, erstwhile doubles partner of Andy Murray’s brother, Jamie.
The championships are taking place at Scotstoun, Glasgow. The final is on Sunday.
