MUSICAL chairs at TV channel, stv, and radio station, talk107 – potentially ironic, since their comfy sofas could soon be appearing in the same inventory, as owners, SMG and UTV, discuss a possible merger.
While reporter, Ewan Petrie, is today leaving stv for a producer/reporter contract at Channel 4 News, the gap will be plugged with the luring of talk107’s deputy news editor, Gordon Chree.
Also on his way from the all-speech radio station serving Edinburgh, Fife and the Lothians is presenter, Stephen Jardine, who is quitting his Saturday morning show.
Jardine is now presenting five nights a week on stv’s news flagship, Scotland Today, and has chosen to give up his extra duties at the weekend.
He’s also working on a new motoring show for stv and writes a column for the Edinburgh Evening News.
He has, though, agreed to remain involved with talk107, for specials and one-off projects.
