A NEWS agency covering the south-west of Scotland and Cumbria has been set up by a former features editor of The People newspaper.
Nick Brownlee, operating just outside Carlisle, in Cumbria, has named the agency Hadrian News & Features.
Brownlee, “who learned his trade at the Evening Chronicle and Sunday Sun in Newcastle”, says he has “been a solo freelancer based in Cumbria for seven years”.
He added: “Having lived and worked here for a while, it’s obvious to me that the south-west of Scotland and Cumbria is a vibrant patch full of great off-beat stories.”
