BBC Radio Scotland picked up a prize in the annual ‘Promax’ awards, which recognise the best achievements in promotional films and trailers.
The Beeb in Glasgow had two nominations: one for an edition of the news and current affairs programme, Frontline Scotland, about fatalities on oil rigs; the other, promoting Radio Scotland.
The latter picked up a silver medal in the ‘Best Television Campaign – On-Air Design’ category for an promo which comprised flowers and plants to suggest the station’s varied, ‘four seasons’ music output.
It was second behind the category winner, VH1’s ‘Nation’s Favourite Lyric’ promotional spot.
