ONE of Scotland’s most experienced journalists has joined the Evening Times in Glasgow, as a senior news reporter.
And it’s understood that Iain Lundy landed the job after a chance meeting with a member of the newsdesk saw him signed up for several weeks of shifts.
An award-winning highly experienced reporter, Lundy was chief reporter of The Press and Journal, the first Scottish editor of PA and deputy news editor of Scotland on Sunday.
More recently, he’s been an Edinburgh-based freelance doing shifts for the likes of the Scottish Mail on Sunday.
His remit at the Evening Times will be news specials and investigations and, while doing casual shifts for the paper last month, produced a three-day series on Glasgow’s economic blueprint for the next ten years.
He replaces Gerry Braiden, who has joined The Herald.
